The U.S. corn acreage was about 90 million acres in 2007 which produced about 12 billion bushels of grain. In addition to animal feed and ethanol, corn is processed into thousands of different products-from corn starch to wallpaper paste. The typical grocery store offers almost 4,000 products with corn ingredients on the label.
