Milk Weed Pods

Milk Weed Pods
Milk weeds are hosts to the Monarch butterfly. Monarchs make an amazing annual migration to winter in mountains of Mexico. We harvest along our country roads and sometimes have seeds available. These cottony parachutes are sometimes referred to as 'angel wings'. Pioneers used sap from milk weeds as a cure for warts. Milk weed 'fluff' was used in life jackets during WW2.
Dried pods are $12.50 for 50. Shipping and handling is included.
(You can order any time, but please be aware that we do not ship between approximately June 10 and August 15, 2010.)
