Milk Weed Pods
Please make inquiries via e-mail r/t telephone until mid-April 2010. Thanks!
Click here: http://rubyglen.com/holiday/christmascraft.htm for a way to make poinsettia Christmas tree ornaments from dried milk weed pods. Milk weeds are hosts to the Monarch butterfly. Monarchs make an amazing annual migration to winter in mountains of Mexico. We harvest along our country roads and sometimes have seeds available. These are sometimes referred to as 'angel wings'. Pioneers used sap from milk weeds as a cure for warts. Milk weed 'fluff' was used in life jackets during WW2. Dried pods are $.075 each (seven & 1/2 cents). Click on the link above for ordering information.
